RUN WITH JOE JONAS!

I've already posted this, but i'm gonna post a different article (:
if you live in texas, YOU DON'T WANNA MISS THIS.

Joe Jonas, the middle brother in the platinum-selling pop band, will lead a 5K run on Aug. 13 to benefit Special Olympics Texas and the brothers’ Change for the Children Foundation.

The iWin Joe Jonas Fun Run will begin at 8:15 a.m. at Sunset Station, less than 12 hours before the trio hits the AT&T Center stage for their nearly sold-out concert.

“(Jonas) is a runner, and he wanted to do something that promoted health and got people moving. We’re very excited,” said Andi Baca Kelly, public relations coordinator for Special Olympics Texas.

The course winds along Durango Boulevard, through King William, along the River Walk and through HemisFair Park.

Fifteen participants will be randomly selected to run with Jonas, 19, at the front of the race and have their photos taken with him during a meet-and-greet.

Participants are encouraged to raise money for Special Olympics and Change for the Children. The top fundraisers in five categories will receive an award from Jonas, and the two top fundraisers among Special Olympics athletes will win tickets to that night’s concert.

Register to run and raise money at www.sotx.org. Registration costs $20 per person or $35 for a parent and child. For more information, call (800) 876-5646.

Runners also can register the day of the event beginning at 6 a.m. The band Honor Society, which is touring with the Jonas Brothers, will perform throughout registration and at the beginning of the race.

Special Olympics Texas provides more than 30,000 Texas children and adults with intellectual disabilities with year-round sports training and competitions. The Jonas Brothers’ Change for the Children Foundation supports children’s charities.
