  • Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas aren’t the only Jonas Brothers. They have a younger brother, Frankie, who may not sing with the trio, but he’s going to appear on their upcoming Disney Channel show Jonas. Middle brother Joe described his work.
“He’s eight now,” Joe said. “He just had a birthday. It’s cool for him because, for us, we didn’t know how he would do, and he surprises us every day how well he does when he comes in every day. He’s in and out, and he finishes so quickly. It’s a lot of fun.”
The older brothers are finding acting more of a learned craft than music has been. “We’re so used to doing music that this gives us a great opportunity to have acting and music involved. It’s an easy transition for us because we’re natural musicians, but acting is something that’s totally different for us. Going into it, we were pretty nervous. We weren’t sure how we would do. We did Camp Rock, but doing a television series, we didn’t know exactly how it would roll out. It’s been a lot of fun. It’s just a great opportunity so far.”
Writing songs for the show is the easy part. “It’s really cool because when we cowrote with Demi [Lovato] on her record, it was a different kind of feel because we had to think from a girl’s perspective, and that was the first time we ever had to do that. This is great because they give us the opportunity, ‘Okay, we need you to write a song about you like this person, but you kind of feel sick about the situation.’ So they’ll give us an opportunity to really think about it and come up with a song. It’s been a lot of fun. It’s great to keep us involved in that aspect.”
Jonas fans can still expect more musical performances for their upcoming tours “What our fans can expect from our upcoming tour [is] obviously music and a lot of fun. We’ve been planning out the tour right now, and we’re going to do the same kind of major cities that we hit on our last summer tour. We’re going to try and do a world tour. We’re going to try to go to a lot of places that we’ve never been, and we’re writing a lot of new songs for our new record that we’re going to release on Hollywood Records, and we’re really excited about it.”
As for analyzing the Jonas phenomenon, Joe can only offer this perspective. “I think, for us, we write about things that are real to us and the things we go through every day. We’re the same age as a lot of the people that listen to our music, and they’re going through the same things. We get a lot of feedback from fans saying just thank you either for encouragement, or they understand what we’re going through so they’re going through the same kind of things.

The Making of "Tonight"

BB Good music video

The Jonas Brothers have yet another music video being released! This time, it’s BB Good! The video will debut at around 8:20pm (local time) on Disney Channel’s “Night of Stars” on February 16, 2009! It features scenes from the 3D movie!

Stephenie Meyer Day 2009 Announced

Here’s early notice–Stephenie Meyer Day 2009 is happening September 12-13, 2009, in Forks, WA!! While this year’s event is still in the organizational stages, based on the overwhelming response last year, we want everyone (including folks in, um, Arizona . . . ) to have a chance to make plans to be here on Bella’s Birthday to celebrate with us. Now is the time to make lodging reservations in Forks or LaPush for this weekend–the entire area was booked solid last year. Many fans arrived before the weekend and/or stayed a day or two afterward, to have more time to fully enjoy everything the area has to offer.
Last year’s event featured Forks High School tours; the Mayor’s Proclamation; Bella’s Birthday Cake;
a Group Photo; Bella, Edward and Jacob Look-Alike Contests; Book Readings and Discussion; a Wolf Dance and a Bonfire with Native Storytelling in LaPush; along with access to gobs of Twilight-related merchandise, opportunities to see the local sights, visit the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center and socialize with hundreds of other totally-out-of-control Twilighters. How can you beat that?
If you have ideas for Stephenie Meyer Day 2009, or if you are willing to contribute in some way, we would love to have your input. We would particularly like to hear from some Twilight-inspired bands and DJs, for example, that could appear as part of an outdoor show or a killer dance/party. We’re open to any and all ideas. Let’s make this the best Stephenie Meyer Day so far!! Contact the Chamber of Commerce at chamber@forkswa.com or 1-800-443-6757 .
And Stephenie, if you’re reading this, we’d love to see you again here in Forks!!
Further information to follow–keep checking back–we’ll have all of the necessary information right here as soon as it is available.

  • New Blog Entry from Taylor Swift titled, "While I was in LA, my mom re-arranged my bathroom." That's probably my longest blog title yet, so if you weren't able to experience the whole thing because it cut the last part off (due to being so long)... It said "While I was in LA, my mom re-arranged my bathroom". As you can imagine, my bathroom looks different now. When I left for LA, my way of storing all of my make up and hair products was to pile it all on my bathroom counter. Most of it was grouped together in a very organized system (the pile). That's not to say the system was not flawed. There was one tiny, insignificant recurring problem.. If you pulled one thing out of the middle of the pile, it would create a giant avalanche of lip gloss and eye shadow and other various cosmetics (sometimes a container of powder, which was undoubtedly left halfway closed-- SO much fun to clean up!). I was fine with my system. 17% of the time, it worked perfectly without disastrous results. I wasn't going to complain about it because whining isn't really my thing, and I didn't have time to create another system (this takes planning and brainstorming!). So my bathroom has stayed the same terrible mess of piled up beauty products for two years.. while I traveled the world with the sad, unorganized state of my bathroom perpetually weighing in the the back of my conscience. Then suddenly... EVERYTHING changed. I came back from LA and discovered a whole new world. My bathroom is now a magical, wondrous place with cabinets for storing make up and hooks on the door for holding scarves. There are even drawers for my hair brushes and incredible little shelves for my towels! There's a new shower curtain in place of the one I've had since 7th grade (the one that has always secretly creeped me out a little, because it's all these people standing around and it really looks like they're watching me. Which was weird. I never liked them, and I'm glad they're gone.) There are little windows in one of the dressers, and through it, I can see the candles I used to have stashed randomly on the counter. Now they have their perfect little home, all gathered together in their tiny, organized sanctuary. But then I turned around and was startled by something... Where was my Britney Spears poster.... No, this can't be right... WHERE is it?!? I searched the room frantically for a few seconds before finding it's new spot. My Britney Spears poster (from 6th grade) had been relocated to my bedroom, which is another AMAZING upgrade. This way, I see it more often and it more proudly displays my unwavering devotion to Britney Spears. My jewelry has been neatly placed into these little jewelry containers that separate your necklaces so they don't get tangled into a huge unrecognizable, mangled ball that is IMPOSSIBLE to untangle. That used to happen to me all the time, but NOW it's preventable! Also, I found so many things that went missing over the years.. The most notable find would have to be my glasses. I couldn't believe it, but there they were! Apparently they had been lost somewhere in the giant pile of cosmetic doom.. I eventually gave up the search after a few weeks. Now they're back! The moral of the story is... My mom is wonderful and we apparently share the same hobby: Compulsively organizing and straightening up around the house whenever we're bored. I can't wait to tell you all about LA and my life-changing guest appearance on CSI. Basically... When I'm really old and can only remember one story about my life to go back and relive, and tell over and over and over again to the point where my grandchildren roll their eyes and leave the room...... That's the story. Ah, I can see it now. "You know, when I was a youngster, I got to guest star on CSI! It was marvelous! So marvelous, it was!" It was that good.I'll tell you all about the rest. I love you with all my heart.lovelovelove-T-

  • America Ferrera will be playing Emily Young in New Moon [celebuzz]- Add America Ferrera to the long list of actresses who are supposedly up for a role in the Twilight sequel New Moon.
    Following in the footsteps of
Vanessa Hudgens and Dakota Fanning, the 24-year-old Ugly Betty actress has reportedly auditioned for the movie. Ferrera tried out for the part of Emily Young, fiancée to Sam Uley and second cousin to Leah Clearwater.
"I got to audition for New Moon today! For the role of Emily,"
Crazy Days and Nights quotes the outspoken actress and snappy dresser as saying. "The casting director, you fans of the book will be glad to know, has read the books and loves them. And you can tell. His direction was spot on for the character. I loved the books. I would so love to be in the movie!!!"
Seems like a perfectly reasonable match. After all, Ferrera has had experience
    interacting with monstrous characters before.

"They're trying to break the internet, aren't they?"

"First Myspace almost went under when a MAJOR influx of people commented their MySpace, in the hopes that they would respond."
"Then, Justin.TV... THEY were LATE by half an hour because of the number of people online! IT JUST MESSED UP."
"And now, now they even have their own bloody website to destroy the internet. THEY'RE TAKING IT DOWWWWN."
Think about how the Jonas Brothers have impacted the Internet over the past year. From a group of guys out of New Jersey, to crashing the TRL web servers. Crashing Justin.TV, making an impact on one of the largest sites on the web, MySpace, and dominating YouTube. It is simply amazing.

  • VH1 interview with the Jobros- The Jonas Brothers are ready to start burnin' up your TV sets when their new TV show, "J.O.N.A.S.," debuts on the Disney Channel later this year. In the sitcom, the boys try to balance their lives between being pop stars and regular guys.
It's very exciting for us. It's been in the works for a while," Nick told "Access Hollywood." "It is now about us being a band and balancing a normal life. They give us freedom to add our humor in it. We're just honored to have the opportunity to try the acting thing. We're musicians. ... Acting is a new thing for us."And although the boys have a sense of humor, they admit that taking their act to the small screen hasn't been all that easy."I'm very hard on myself when it comes to acting," Nick said. "Trying to capture my own personal sense of humor, in real life, it's very dry humor. But sometimes I can't quite master that on camera."Joe mirrored his younger brother's skepticism about their comedic styling, saying, "We're trying our best, and we'll see the outcome. We really enjoy it ... but this gives us the opportunity to keep the music involved."The boys will also be taking their act to a theater near you next month when they release "Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience," which they say will give fans a good idea of what it's like to be a Jonas Brother."It gets some really personal things in there," Nick said of the movie. "There's one scene in particular where it captures all the things that we went through in Times Square in New York City on our album-release night, which was one of the craziest scenes. I think it's the only footage in the world of it."The guys may have a lot on their plate with a TV show set to premiere and a movie about to be released, but Kevin revealed that the guys might have one more project in the works."We have an amazing stylist. ... She's worked with us for almost two years, and we've really built a look together," he said. "It translates to the show as well, but more than that, we are just really happy that we have a certain kind of clothes that we like. We like what we like. You never know, we might be working on our own clothing line here and there. We really like that whole aspect."

New Moon In Theatres 11/20 ?!

Director Chris Weitz is expected to start shooting New Moon in March in the U.S. and Italy. If all goes as planned, the movie will hit theaters on Nov. 20

UPDATE 1/22

  • The Jonas Brothers are on the cover of the new Teen Sensation magazine which also includes an article of the history of the boys up until now.
  • E! is reporting that Dakota Fanning is to play Jane, a member of the Volturi, in New Moon. It's possible. I can exclusively report that the 14-year-old child star—she turns 15 on Feb. 23—is in talks to play Jane opposite Robert Pattinson & Co. in New Moon, the upcoming sequel to box office megahit Twilight.
“There were no auditions,” a source reveals. “They just offered it to her outright, and now they’re in negotiations. They’ve been going back and forth.”
Jane is a member of Italy’s Volturi, the most deadly group of bloodsucking killers in author Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling series.
In the casting notice we got our hands on earlier this month, Jane is described as a petite blonde with a “Botticelli angel-like face…[and] crimson irises.” While fellow Volturi guards Demetri & Felix “are three times the size of her, they are terrified of her,” the casting notice reads.
Coincidentally (or maybe not), an online petition started by a Twilight fan already asks the studio, Summit Entertainment, to cast Fanning because she would be “perfect” for the role.
Early last month, Entertainment Weekly suggested Pushing Daisies star and Broadway diva Kristin Chenoweth. “Her voice is certainly high enough, and at 4'11'', she's also short enough,” writer Amy Wilkinson proposed.
Director Chris Weitz is expected to start shooting New Moon in March in the U.S. and Italy. If all goes as planned, the movie will hit theaters on Nov. 20.

  • Insider's 5 reasons why Taylor & Demi should be BFFs - Not since Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie first came onto the scene as the qunitessential besties, have we been *this* excited about a potential BFF pairing. The dual reign of teen queens Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift? It’s ON.
They’ve both got hit albums, they’re both show stoppingly gorge, and they’ve both (maybe?) shared the warm embrace of a
JoBro – obvs, a match made in heaven.Tay Tay and Dem were spotted earlier this week at an L.A. Kings Hockey game, and judging by the smiles on their faces, we’re hoping they’ve already exchanged best friends forever necklaces. Here’s why:
    5. The Brothers Jonai - OMJ, is there anything that can bring two people together quicker than a Jonas Brother run in? We think no. Even though Demi claims that she is
just friends with Joe Jonas (all Camp Rock romances aside), and even though Taylor claims she’s totally over her cell phone Joe Jonas break-up, should the two need to console each other over any matters Jonai … they could.
    4. Mean Girls - Say what you will, but there were quite a few worthwhile life lessons in this little gem of a
Lindsay Lohan flick … most importantly: don’t be a biyotch. Demi and Taylor are obvs feelin the love now, and to this we say: awwwww.
    3.
She’s Just Being Miley - With Taylor in the mix, the Demi/Miley feud takes on a whole new spin. Might we expect a Taylor/Demi (+ Selena?) YouTube channel? One can only dream.
    2. Acting - Both girls act!
On TV shows! And in movies! And so maybe they could rehearse together! And go to each other’s premieres! Funzies!
    1. Sports … The Great Equalizer - Ask any dude, if you’re looking to bond, hockey pucks are the way to go.
Hip hip hooray for grrrl power, we say!
  • Just Jared on Demi Lovato at Kids' Inaugral Concet-
Demi Lovato rocks out the Kids Inaugural celebration at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., on Monday night (January 19).
The 16-year-old starlet performed her two hit songs, “Get Back” and “La La Land.”
Demi hung out with good friend
Miley Cyrus at the end of the show and tagged along with BFFs The Jonas Brothers to the Huffington Post’s Pre-Inaugural Ball after the concert.
  • JB will be on Regis & Kelly in a couple weeks
  • Just Jared Jr. on Demi Lovato-
Demi Lovato admits to MTV News that she nervous before she took the stage at the Kids’ Inaugural concert celebration and afterwards, just a little shaken.
The 16-year-old pop star dished after the concert, saying, “Honestly, it was a blur, because it was like, I’m standing in the presence of the first lady [Michelle Obama], but then you kind of forgot about it because she’s so normal. And she’s like way down to earth. She gave me a hug, and her daughters were so sweet, and you could tell they are not fazed by anything.”
Meeting the Obama girls wasn’t the only highlight of her night either. Demi gushed, “I met a lot of really cool people, but Usher was really cool because I got to meet him. For my birthday, when I was like 10, I went to his concert, so it was like surreal to be on the same stage with him and hanging out backstage just being like, ‘A few years ago, I was at your concert for my birthday and freaked out when you looked my way.’”
  • Country star TAYLOR SWIFT has scored a seventh week atop the album chart, becoming the first artist to record the feat since USHER in 2004.Her hit album Fearless sold just 63,000 copies last week, but that was enough to keep Beyonce's I Am... Sasha Fierce and Nickelback's Dark Horse off the top.Beyonce's album rose up two spots to two, while Nickelback slipped a place to three. The soundtrack to Notorious B.I.G. biopic Notorious is the chart's highest debut - it bows at four, and Kanye West's 808s and Heartbreak rounds out the new top five.
